Who we are

This is the website of Minilop Retroware (minilopretro.com), which makes ZX Spectrum games and tools. If you have any question about your data, email minilopretro@gmail.com.

What we collect, and why

Mailing list. If you subscribe, you give us your email address. It goes to our mailing service, Brevo, which stores it and sends our emails. We use it only to send news about new games, Power Desk updates and new tutorials. We store it until you unsubscribe, and every email has an unsubscribe link. Our legal basis is your consent.

Analytics. If you press Accept on the cookie banner, we load Google Analytics, which sets cookies and sends Google information about how you use the site, such as the pages you view, roughly where you are and what device you use. We use it to see which pages are useful. If you decline, or do nothing, Google Analytics is not loaded. Our legal basis is your consent.

Messages to us. If you email us, we keep your message and address so that we can reply.

Web hosting. Our web host, IONOS, records standard server logs, such as your IP address and the pages requested, to keep the site running and secure.

Cookies and similar storage

The site itself needs no cookies. We store one small item in your browser, called minilop-consent, to remember whether you accepted or declined analytics. If you accept, Google Analytics sets its own cookies. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the foot of every page, and you can delete cookies in your browser settings.

Other services on the site

YouTube. Our demo videos load from YouTube only when you press play, using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode. Until then, nothing is sent to YouTube.

Fonts. The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google when a page loads, and Google receives your IP address.

Other sites. Links to itch.io, Twitter, YouTube and similar sites take you to services with their own privacy policies.

Who else sees your data

Brevo, Google and IONOS handle data on our behalf or as described above, and some of them process data outside the UK. We do not sell your data.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or object to how we use it, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Email minilopretro@gmail.com and we will reply. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If we change what the site collects, we will update this page and its date.
